About the Church
The chapel of Panagia Chrysogalatousis in Kapedes was built in 1713, according to an inscription located above the western wall’s infrared. The church did not initially belong to the community of Kapedes, but rather to the nearby monastery of Archangel Michael in Analyondas, of which he was evidently a member.
Even though the inscription does not name the monastery where Gerasimos served as abbot, there is no doubt that this is the monastery of Archangelos, which is situated between the villages of Kapedes and Analyontas.
