The nature trail was constructed in 2015 with funding from the Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and the Environment. A registered path begins in an area west of the Kapedes community and follows its trajectory. The path is 4,800 metres long and has a maximum width of 1.20 metres; it terminates at the chapel of Agios Onoufrios. Along the path, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Tamassos Dam, the communities of the broader Nicosia region, and the Machairas pine forest. On the nature trail, visitors can encounter a diversity of trees, plants, and wild vegetation that are typical of the flora of Cyprus. In some instances, their species-specific characteristics will delightfully surprise him.
